What A Great Surprise At My Door Today!

There was a knock on my door and there stood two missionaries.  One I didn't know....and one I knew well! It was Elder Wright from Utah.  He served in Wallaceburg and he was a wonderful missionary there.  He is one of those young men that worked so hard with such a positive attitude that you could never forget him.  Bill wasn't home unfortunately....actually he was in Wallaceburg taking the missionaries out to dinner.  Therefore we could only visit briefly.  It was so awesome to see him again .  It made me think of the veil being lifted and seeing again dear friends who we've been separated from for a long time.  Sometimes people come into your life and truly touch your heart.  This is the case with Elder Wright.  Hopefully he will call us and we can make a point of both being home.  He is presently serving in Windsor. So I invited him to come again to our home perhaps for a lunch when he is travelling.
Life sometimes allows us these Special Moments!!

How About Celebrating Valentine's Day.... One Day Late!

Bill went early this morning to get the oil changed on the car.

He arrived home with these beautiful flowers in his arms for me.  Oh how I love peach roses. They make me feel like Spring is just around the corner.
Way to go Bill ....You are Awesome!

What's More Fun Then Spending Time With The Grand Kids!

Clara got her princess dress on....all by herself. She of course did the crown too!!

Guess what they're watching?     No.....It's   Little House On The Prairie.

Clara is a fan of deep sea diving....but she can't quit see out of her goggles.

Nana....you missed the tub shot...so now you'll have to settle with a towel pose!1

Ready For Church Way Too Early

Sitting and looking pretty was not an option with a whole hour to go before we needed to leave to get there on time.
Nathan ate and ate but we still had tons of time on our hands.
Sam, Brett and Jesse played cards until they decided let's play frozen tag!!

I used a broom to capture my prey .  When speared they stayed frozen until freed by a team mate.

Today I Finished My First Mini Book

It's so exciting to finally put together a mini version  of my cancer journey.  A wonderful gal named Linda Dewhurst has graciously come over to my home 3 different times to help me iron out the wrinkles and tonight we actually sent away for it.  I plan to do a full version down the road. This one has a whole lot of pictures and small amounts of writting.  Actually Linda sold me the program called Creative Memories.
I should receive it in time for my birthday.   They say pictures are worth a thousand words and there are  lots of pictures in this little book.

To Grandma...It Was Better Then Mincemeat

This is the chocolate ginger cookie that Heather and Pete have been bringing in for mom daily.  She absoluely loves them!

Mom was so happy with this treat that she started
talking to me.  She said...in between bites," I'm looking
outside at a home I think I used to know."

When I had first seen her today after her bath
the girls told her," Your daughter is here with your
favourite cookie."  Mom said, "Where is she I can't
see her. " They told her I had on a hat and scarf.
She said," No wonder I didn't know her."

It was Great to hear her speak!

Who cares about crumbs when enjoying such a" Delightful "treat!

This is mom's new room ...right beside the sunroom.

After visiting mom I went and picked up Bill who was finishing up his one hour walk at the sherk.

Way to go Bill ....you will be in great shape by Spring.!

I bet she downed it in 2 minutes

It was such a rewarding visit today.
It really lifted my spirits!
